Coach Michael joins Triton after serving 5 years as the head coach of the Northeast YMCA Tsunami Swim Club.  He led the team to become the first YMCA in Louisville to join National YMCA Swimming and Diving.  He grew the team from 60 to 175 swimmers, one of whom was Louisville’s first ever YMCA Nationals qualifier. A Louisville native, he swam for Lakeside and St. Xavier High School. He has his Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville and worked in chemical dependency for 5 years before discovering his passion for coaching.  He is married and has two sons, ages 15 and 11. He loves cooking vegetarian cuisine and hiking the mountains of Colorado. His favorite strokes are freestyle and butterfly.  Coach Michael is ASCA Level 2 certified.
